Business Review: Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge

The Marriott is the third hotel I have reviewed in Brooklyn New York. As a Category 5 hotel, it is much superior to the Sheraton Brooklyn, also a category 5, and theĀ Aloft Brooklyn hotels. Of course it is no St. Regis but for your business hotel its a great option with a very respectable lounge.

The Good

  • Rooms are large and nice and even some with a “view”
  • The lounge has decent food options for breakfast and is 24 hours
  • Upgrades appear to be available more for their Platinum guests
  • There appears to be more room options since it is a larger hotel
  • Hotel is central in Brooklyn with easy access to the subway, etc.
  • The TV offers streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, etc.

The Okay

  • The business center is small but it appears to be hardly used.
  • The lounge in the morning gets really crowded and not all the seats are geared towards eating a plateful of food.

The Rooms

The rooms are generally large and functional. The one great thing they have is a “smart” TV that allows you to use the Netflix, Hulu, etc. apps and stream your favourite TV shows and movies. However these services require your own subscription.

The pictures I captured of the suite/room I had included a separate living and sleeping area.

The M Club Lounge

The lounge is really decent. For breakfast they have a selection of hot and cold options such as cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon/sausage, frittata, fruit, etc. 24-hours a day they have bottled juice, coffee/latte machine, sparkling water, snacks (gummies, golden fish, pretzels) and fruit. I’m sure I am missing other options but its overall really decent for your “average” hotel. Below are some pictures of the “M Club Lounge”.
