Review: TownePlace Suites Colorado Springs Garden Of The Gods

Afterall it is a TownePlace Suites but is it a good one? Short answer is that yes. My grades aren’t on 5-star butler service but are reflective of the services you would expect at the TownePlace. Overall the TownePlace Suites Colorado Springs Garden Of The Gods was a good hotel for the cost and location in Colorado Springs.

Services: 8/10
Amenities: 8/10
Location: 9/10

I stayed for a week in this lovely town and really got to experience the hotel for what it is. It’s your typical TownePlace however the hotel staff are great, friendly and very helpful. You get that local feel when you stay here. When I checked in the staff were really helpful. They recognized by status and did the typical “thank you for your loyalty” routine. Not much could be offered at this type of property anyways.

The hotel had their morning breakfast even during the pandemic which was nice as some went cheapo and either didn’t serve it, or provided some doggy bag. It was your typical buffet breakfast with eggs, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. The staff wore masks and they tried to wrap things individually as best they could.

The room was clean and decent. I didn’t notice any major damages, dings, etc. with the room. The TV is awkward as you have to swivel it depending on if you are on the couch or the bed but this layout seems common in these types of hotels. The view was of the property next to us but there were trees which was nice as it gave us some privacy.

There was a desk near the front closet and across from the kitchen. The desk is functional, the chair was in good condition and the lamp had USB ports for charging (USB-A).

The kitchenette was typical that allowed you to prepare small meals if you wanted to and was stocked with 1 pot, 1 pan and various kitchen accessories. There was a decent size fridge.

They also had a fitness area and their outdoor BBQs where you could cook along side their outdoor pool which is probably is okay during the summer months. However, the pool is next to the parking lot so its not the most relaxing area.

Overall the hotel is good for what Marriott describes it as. If you are travelling with children it is useful to have the kitchen. It doesn’t have the most relaxing atmosphere but its close to the local attractions and you are probably spending most of your time outdoors anyways.
