Review: Courtyard King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel
To sum up my time at the Courtyard King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, it was frustrating, rewarding, and frustrating. My family stayed 5 nights on points at this hotel. While it is beach front with an almost private beach it is not the most functioning hotel. Marriot Status: 10/10Services: 6/10Amenities: 6/10Location: 9/10 Prior to My […]
Review: TownePlace Suites Colorado Springs Garden Of The Gods
Afterall it is a TownePlace Suites but is it a good one? Short answer is that yes. My grades aren’t on 5-star butler service but are reflective of the services you would expect at the TownePlace. Overall the TownePlace Suites Colorado Springs Garden Of The Gods was a good hotel for the cost and location […]
Review: The Residence Inn/Manhattan Times Square
It’s what you want because its practical but service is horrible. Unfortunately my 10 night stay at this Residence Inn Manhattan Times Square hotel was not very good. It did have some upsides including its location and a breakfast option if you manage to get there in time! This is far from luxury compared to […]
United Airlines Announces Changes to MileagePlus Qualification for 2020
I know I am a little late… but its better late than never. United announced their new qualification for 2020 with substantial changes. Out are the distance-based qualification (PQM) and in are increased dollar spend (formally called PQD) with less segments (previously called PQS). With the removal of the distance-based qualification, members will now have […]

However, if you a United MileagePlus Premier Gold or higher, you have Star Alliance Gold Status which gives you some added benefits. This is the Air Canada Lounge hack. Star Alliance Gold […]
Reminder! Book Your Marriott Rewards Now!
Last year was a big year for Marriott, they completed the merger with SPG albeit with a lot of issues. Marriott just announced the official name of the new rewards program… Marriott Bonvoy (more to come on that later). That said, in March 2019 Marriott plans on introducing their updated reward structure. As of March, […]
Review: The St. Regis New York
The St. Regis New York hotel is an exceptional city hotel with classic luxury. This category 8 hotel running at a minimum of a ~$1,000-1500 per night was a no-brainer to book on points for an extended long weekend in the city. As you might be aware, Marriott is offering redemption rates for category 8 hotels […]
Business Review: Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge
The Marriott is the third hotel I have reviewed in Brooklyn New York. As a Category 5 hotel, it is much superior to the Sheraton Brooklyn, also a category 5, and the Aloft Brooklyn hotels. Of course it is no St. Regis but for your business hotel its a great option with a very respectable lounge. […]
Business Review: Aloft New York Brooklyn
The Aloft in Brooklyn is a more up to date hotel then its next door neighbour, Sheraton Brooklyn. The hotel is what you would expect from an Aloft and there is nothing special about this hotel. The only complaint I have is the air conditioner. It is very loud. For this reason alone I would […]
