This may be old news to most of you. Hertz continues to roll out its Ultimate Choice across the US and during 2018 Canada will see its first implementation, Toronto.
My main airports have been IAH and ORD with colleagues also going MCO and others. Generally I find the selection really good. Obviously there are weeks where it can be limited but generally its very good for what you are paying for. As long as you book an intermediate car or higher, you can select any car of your choice from your relevant area (Gold, 5 Star or President’s Circle). As a PC member the car selections I see have included:
- Infinity Sedans and SUVs
- Cadillac Escalade (not so many sedans)
- Mercedes (occasionally)
- Trucks – Chevy, Nissan and GMC
- GMC Yukons (and XLs) and Chevy Suburban
- Nissan Maxima and Altimas
- Chrysler 300
- Chevy Camaro
- Jaguar XE
- Land Rover Discovery
The above are my most common vehicles that I have seen. Infitnity sedans and SUVs are very common and is a good ride for an intermediate rental price. Selection will vary depending on supply and demand but Hertz does appear to make an effort to have premium cars available in its President’s Circle Area.
Here are some of the vehicles I have had:
Do I have to pay extra per day to receive a premium car, like a jaguar or infinity? On the website it seems to say that if you take a prestige or premium car it’s a upgrade of $25 per day
It’s the luck of the draw to be honest. The president’s circle has infinity and janguar cars and sometimes so do the premiums. Sometimes the premiums have larger Infinity cars or something a bit more unique.
Thanks for the reply!
Correct. That will be an upgrade for $15 to $25 per day more.
